Each upgrade takes time, and while the early ones are fast, as a building climbs in level it takes longer and longer to improve it. Farms provide much-needed food, while the hospital heals your wounded troops. There are a plethora of buildings to build and improve. In Infinity Kingdom you need a strong city to wage war effectively. It’s still mostly automated, except that you get to utilize the immortals’ special powers by tapping their portrait. When fighting in the Well of Time, the game zooms to ground level, and you get to watch your forces clash with the enemy. Your army marches out, there’s a brief battle animation, and then the game tells you who won. When you attack gnomes on the world map, or attack other players’ cities, the entire process is automated. This same graphic style is featured throughout, and the result is a visually pleasing, professional-looking game.īattles play out two different ways in Infinity Kingdom. The game depicts Immortals in a cartoonish 3D style, each with unique animations and voices. Additionally, you can level them up through experience and improve them by collecting rune pieces, Players can also equip their Immortals with four different pieces of upgradeable gear. Once you’ve summoned an Immortal, you can upgrade them by spending more shards. You’ll need multiple shards to summon an immortal, so getting them is a matter of patience and luck. There are a couple of ways to get shards, but the easiest method is to use the philosopher’s stone to summon them at the Hall of Immortals. You obtain immortals by collecting character shards. Cleopatra, Lancelot and Helen of Troy are just some of the characters you can recruit to lead your armies into battle. Immortals are legendary figures from myth, folklore, and history. Things look bleak, but fortunately, you’ve got the immortals on your side. You somehow have to rebuild the city and repel the invaders. Players take the role of the lord of a devastated city with the gnomes just outside the gates. In this Strategy MMO, the gnomes have ravaged the land of Norheim with their steampunk army.
